Software, gear, and other things I use for creating.

People always ask me about the tools I use to build software, stay productive, or even just keep myself entertained when I need a break. From the essentials for staying on top of my work, to the fun stuff I like to use when I need a break. Check it out!

Workstation

  • 14” MacBook Pro, M1, 16B RAM (2021)

I used to have an Intel-based 15-inch MacBook Pro, but switching to this new device has been like night and day. I've never heard the fans kick on, even when I'm putting it through heavy loads with my video editing. It's truly amazing!

  • ASUS TUF Gaming 27" HDR (2K 144Hz)

The affordable display on the market if you want something 1440p and a high refresh rate”. When you're working with video footage and photos, every pixel you can get matters.

  • Logitech G710+ Mechanical Keyboard

They don't make keyboards like they used to! Whenever I come across one of these babies for sale, I snag it up and keep it in storage. That way, if I ever need parts or want to retire my main keyboard, I'll have a trusty backup.

  • Logitech G Pro Wireless

Something about the form factor, weight, and build quality just makes me want to click more stuff on my screen.

  • Blue Yeti

With its versatile design and crystal clear sound quality, it's perfect for anyone looking to up their podcasting, streaming, or recording game.

  • Herman Miller Aeron Chair

I spend most of my day sitting and I might as well do it in style, so I invested in a fancy chair. After all, if I'm going to be sitting in a not-so-good posture all day, I might as well be comfortable while doing it.

Development Tools

  • Visual Studio Code

VS Code is a game changer. All of its extensions and integration make everything so much more streamlined. I wished I had this IDE when I was still in college.

  • Postman

I use this tool for all my backend projects, it's my go-to. It saves me so much time during development and I can't imagine working without it. It's a tool I'll be using for life.

  • Figma

We started using Figma as just a design tool but now it's become our virtual whiteboard for the entire company. Never would have expected the collaboration features to be the real hook.

Content Kit

  • Adobe Premiere Pro

The champion of video editing software. It gives you the power to turn your footage into a cinematic masterpiece, whether you're a beginner or a pro. With its intuitive interface and powerful tools, you'll be editing like a boss in no time.

  • Adobe Photoshop

Transform your photos into works of art, create mind-blowing designs, and bring your creative vision to life. If you're a professional graphic designer, photographer, or just looking to enhance your social media posts, Photoshop has got you covered.

  • Inkscape

Great option for graphic designers, artists, and anyone who wants to bring their creativity to life without breaking the bank. Whether you're designing logos, illustrations, or anything in between, Inkscape has the tools you need to get the job done.

  • Canva

My secret weapon for anyone looking to up their design game, without having to learn complicated software. So why struggle when you can create visually stunning designs?
